Forget Rio. There’s a Shoe Carnival raging on at Selfridges. The festival celebrating the general wonderment of shoes has been running since the 1st March and is still going strong, with fun and frolics planned until the 21st April. The iconic store’s Shoe Galleries have been transformed into an Oz themed wonderland, complete with yellow brick road and emerald city.

It was announced back in September that ‘Punk’ was the theme of the 2013 Met Gala Ball but it wasn’t until we saw the timely punk-inspired catwalk offerings this season and the Costume Institute’s accompanying exhibit that we realised punk had its feet placed firmly in the zeitgeist for this season.
